The Rapha Women’s 100km ‘elephant’ ride

Our very popular Cass Humm designed this route for the Rapha Women’s 100 in 2014, an annual global event where women around the world ride any 100km/62 mile route they choose to qualify for a badge via Strava. The ‘elephant’ tag is because of what the route looks like on a map and certainly NOT the ladies who ride it! This route goes through some of the most beautiful Kent scenery imaginable, there are many miles of dreamy, quiet lanes and very little traffic…just occasional glimpses of modern civilisation. A tea stop at the garden centre in Hadlow is optional and men are occasionally allowed to ride it. It is also not too hilly, quite a few people have done it in less than four hours.

A scenic Mark Beech loop 31 miles

This is a flattish loop, going out via Tandridge Lane, past the Red Barn, though Lingfield, then the fast blast through Marsh Green. A bit of a drag up to Mark Beech, then off into some lovely lanes, the occasional hill. Then back via Mark Beech again, a fabulous downhill stretch to Hever, then undulating to Edenbridge, then to Oxted via Honeypot Lane and Merle Common.

An easy loop to Hever 22 miles

A delightful loop, starting East along Pilgrims way, into Westerham, up Hosey Hill and past Chartwell. Tea there if you fancy or at Four Elms, a few miles further. Then to How Green and over the River Eden by Hever Castle. Back towards Edenbridge, then to Itchingwood Common, then that tiny bump called Pains Hill and Nero’s is just minutes away!

Tea in Eynsford is optional!

A lovely 32 mile ride along Pilgrim’s Way through very pretty Shoreham to Eynsford, tea at the Riverside Cafe is optional. Then a climb up Bower Lane with spectacular views and down into Otford and around the ‘prettiest roundabout in Britain’. ¬†And back to Pilgrim’s way. An Oxted CC Classic.
